Peter Jukes is a long-time TV dramatist who threw himself into journalism following the exposure of the News of The World ‘phone hacking’ scandal. He successfully crowdfunded his project to Live-Tweet every single day from the trial of Rebekah Brooks, and wrote a book about it named ‘Beyond Contempt: The Inside Story of the Phone Hacking Trial’.
Jukes is now preparing to write columns for Byline, analysing the UK media’s coverage of the election. He argues they are ‘doubling down’ – coming out guns blazing for the party they believe will be less likely to regulate them if they win.
