Thanks to the generosity of subscribers, we’ve now finished Episode Two about the first investigation and early involvement of News of the World in the circumstances around Daniel’s murder. That has now gone out to supporters.  We aim to have Episode Three – the Inquest – ready in a couple of weeks.

The entire 10 part series will be released weekly in March or April, with appeals for new information.

By subscribing, you get advance copies of all the rough cut episodes, and can help shape and clarify the serial with your comments and input.

It looks like the sponsors of the hit US true crime podcast, Serialare going to help with publicity and distribution.

But making these free to air podcasts is still a time consuming business, so do chip in to help us cover our production costs for the next few months.

These have now risen pro rata to around £10k.

Meanwhile, just before Christmas, myself and the Flameflower Studios production team returned with Alastair to the murder scene at the Golden Lion car park in Sydenham.

Here’s a brief excerpt from that recording, where you can sense quite what this 30 year journey campaigning for justice for his brother entails.

The visit was also covered by BBC Wales, and the segment was broadcast by BBC London over the Christmas Period
